Anyways, since I’ve saw quite ...

Hello everyone to another episode of… wait, what am I talking about? Oh yeah, Hayate no Gotoku! and Lucky Star. Alright, first off, I’ve only completed up to episode 39 of Hayate. Reason for this is because I’ve been putting it off and watching it here and there. So in light of the new season, Hayate2, just finished, I’m going to try to finish this first season and watch the second season (or, should I say, finish watching the 4th season then watch the 5th season).

Anyways, since I’ve saw quite a bit of the episodes already, I think it’s time for me to say my 2 cents for these 2 series and the comparisons.

So, let’s see, Hayate no Gotoku and Lucky Star both started around the same time frame of April of 2007. The only difference is that Lucky Star ended in Sept. of 2007 while Hayate continued on until Mar. of 2008. So Hayate has more episodes then Lucky Star. That doesn’t even include the extra OVA that was released a few months after the last episode aired.

Both series reference anime series, but how it’s reference is the turning point. In Hayate, they actually become like the character’s they’re referencing to but they’re still playing as there own character which makes it fun to watch and laugh while Lucky Star might actually have a lookalike of a character or the girls might cosplay as one which is cute and fun to watch but not on the floor busting up laughing.

Also, the key thing that makes Hayate so great is the fact that they even change the art work style to match the art work style of the anime they’re referencing to in there own way which is sad to say Lucky Star fails to provide.

Other big difference is that you have an announcer in Hayate where the character’s actually interact with by responding to some of the comments that the announce says. Hayate also got bouis points for referring to the viewers when something is happening or saying things like, “don’t try this at home.” Lucky Star has something like that called the Lucky Channel that plays at the end of every episode and sometimes they’ll face the viewers to say something but only a few non-main character’s does that and it’s very small scenes.

Hayate this, Hayate that, what about Lucky Star? There’s gotta be something that beats Hayate!

There is, actually, cute girls and one of them plays H-GAMES!!! And yes, I am an avid H-Game player, I enjoy a few h-games here and there. So there’s light at the end of the tunnel for Lucky Star in my heart but right now Hayate is winning it over with Hina being in the picture =D

So, this is what Akane-iro ni Somaru Saka is all about, random girl and random guy meeting each other on the streets and fate has brought them together…. Or not…
But lets not get too far ahead of each other now as this series can go either way at any moment right now. It’s anyone’s ball game.

So the beginning of the series started off with some girl name Yuuhi Katagiri walking on a sidewalk and bumped into a couple of guys by mistake. Even though Yuuhi said she was ...

So the beginning of the series started off with some girl name Yuuhi Katagiri walking on a sidewalk and bumped into a couple of guys by mistake. Even though Yuuhi said she was sorry the guy wanted to do something much more until they found out how cute she is without her classes on.

Comes Jun-ichi Nagase, coming up behind those guys and told them to back off. Just then one of the guys stopped the other guy saying he’s the Geno Killer (which all Jun-ichi could says was, "not this again"). They gotten so scared that they ran away in a jiffy.

After the guys ran away they exchanged a few words the lady’s butler picked her up to take her home.

At home his sister gave him a bit of an hassle like brother and sisters normally do and the night came to an end. Of course the name day for the new semester of school started he woke up late and just made it to school on time.

Now at school his teacher was giving him an hard time because his sister told his teacher to take good care of Jun-ichi. While they were talking the teacher announced there was a transfer student coming in and comes walks in Yuuhi and they were both surprised to see each other in the same class. The teacher asked Yuuhi if she knew him and she said that she didn’t but that he saved her. The teacher was gotten surprised and said that he hoped Jun-ichi didn’t nearly killed the students (of course Jun-ichi declines it).

Here you meet Karen Ayanokouji, a rich girl who, from my eyes, always gets what she wants. I have a good feeling she’ll probably play in a role where she’ll probably do something to get Jun-ichi and Yuuhi angry at each other but for now, lets just stick with the basic of this first episode.

So after the teacher left the whole class gathered around Yuuhi to asked her how she knows Jun-ichi from which Karen stands up and tells the class to settled down (probably because she’s jealous). After which Yuuhi stood up, walk over to Jun-ichi asked him to go out with her from which the whole class was like, "HUH?!"

Cut to the next screen, Yuuhi is talking to Jun-ichi and his friends and they’re teasing Jun-ichi like they always do and keep bringing up those rumors.

So the introductions are done and here comes the next day where a few classmates are teasing Yuuhi asking her if she’s going out with him or not. Now Karen is even more upset since Yuuhi is not giving her a straight answer so when Jun-ichi came in they asked him to clear things up.

When they pulled him up for the clarification his mind started racing telling him what to do and so… he kissed her… But… Yuuhi kicks Jun-ichi in the balls because he took her by surprised.

Day at school ended, Jun-ichi’s sister is yelling at him for being a moron and said she’ll apologies for him when someone came to the door to find out it’s Yuuhi at the door and she’s moving in, as Jun-ichi’s fiancee. Where is the series going to go from here? That I do not know but can’t wait to find out.

Lock Target!" hspace="5" width="250" align="left" />Anyway, the series starts out showing Yui working on the farm fields then praying on some one’s memorial (which turned out to be her grandfather). After the opening theme, Yui was making her way out when she noticed Hinata and Takuma walking. As she’s about to yell out to them, she noticed Hayami joining them.

At school, Hinata and Takuma is talking to Hayami and Hayami is pretty much telling them that they can hang out after school but not during school because she doesn’t want to cause any problems, but they hung out at school anyway (how sweet).

Of course everyone is freaking out and trying to get Yui to apologize so the village elder won’t do something, but Yui wouldn’t.

After that screen you see Hinata and Takuma at Hayami’s place. Hinata spoke out loud and said that she couldn’t “believe anyone could stay in such a worn down place” (quoted from BakaWolf-m.3.3.w subs), but then tries to take it back but Hayami didn’t care since there’s a lot of things she can do (such as turning her couch into a bed (you can watch a video of it, but it’s kind choppy, here)).

Hayami and Takuma gives Hinata the grand tour of the place and area. When they went to where Hayami normally takes her bath and wash dishes, Hinata wonders why Takuma knows so much which then put some dirty thought in her mind thinking that Hayami and Takuma did something in the lake. Hayami played it off by asking why anyone would with “that” (Takuma) pervert. Takuma tries to defend himself by saying he didn’t intend on peeping which just makes Hinata wonder even more.

It’s start getting late and Hinata says that they’ll meet up again the next day, which Hayami asked if they were serious because Yui would “blow her top” if she sees them hanging out with her again. Of course Takuma thinks it’ll work out some how and that Yui is kind hearted but Hayami doesn’t think so because no matter what, Yui would never forgive Hayami.

You then later find out why the whole village hated her, it was because her her family being greedy and would not provide medicines to those who need it unless they have money and pretty much took advantage over everyone. This went on and lead up to Yui’s grandpa deaths. Since the day Yui’s grandpa died, she could never forgive the Kohinata family. The village finally stood up to the Kohinata family and the family was dismantled which caused them to separate.

Fast forwarding to the next screen, you see Yui, Hamaji, and Maki-san (if I’m not mistaken, but I could be wrong) on the bus heading to town. They got to town and they heard voices that sounded familiar, then thing you know, Hayami comes out of the store in the cutest look/dress ever!!!!!! Hayami noticed the other 2 girls standing by the door and everyone was surprised to see each other, of course Yui is the only one who think this is the worst thing ever.

After the break point, you see all 6 of them at a cafe and Hayami said that she shouldn’t have came in the first place and tried to go home but Takuma stopped her and suggested that they all over fun together. Of course Yui refused and silence fell upon them until the waitress comes with 2 Plateau Whispers (looks like 2 huge brain freeze coming up in my eyes). The 2 people who ordered such a huge thing are Hayami and Yui.

Yui didn’t thought that the ice cream would be that huge and when she stopped staring at it, she noticed Hayami already starting eating her ice cream, and fast too. Now the race is on to see who can finish the ice cream first. Naturally they both finished at the same time, and they stared at each other for a few seconds until a big huge brain freeze hits. Takuma figures it must be a draw at that point.

After the cafe, they went clothes shopping again, Yui went to dry on a dress and started saying that she looks wonderful in it because she’s the one wearing it but Hinata had Hayami try on that same dress and thought she looked wonderful in, this pissed off Yui and told the sales lady that she wants the most expensive dress in the store. Is this progress? Otoha thinks so when she randomly showed up next to Takuma again when he was thinking about it. Otoha showed up to tell him that there isn’t much time left and that made Takuma wonders what she means.

The episode continues with them walking down the street and they found them self in front of the arcade next to a punching machine (which is Yui’s specialty). Yui challenge Hayami to it to see how’s stronger and Yui went first. Yui gotten a score of 218kg, Hayami stepped up and gotten a score of 350kg (which is a new record), and made Yui depressed and decided to run off and head home, only problem is that she dropped her wallet.

Next scene you see Yui making her way to the bus stop and started looking for her wallet in her back but couldn’t find it. She doesn’t know what happen to it and she doesn’t want to head back to the group, so she decided to just walk back to the village.

Anyways, fast forwarding a bit, Hayami said there’s only one path that leads to the village and it’s dangerous. Hayami then told the group to head back to the village by bus and she’ll go find Yui herself.

Yui is going through the forest, feel down, and saw the frame of a building that was burnt down, and this is where you learn everything! To make the long story short, lets just say that Yui is a bit nicer to Hayami now

Clannad episode 18… just 6 episodes left, so we’re running into the home stretch now. This episode does show a few things. Like, for an example, how Tomoya can’t stop thinking about Nagisa during his suspension from school.

The episode starts off with Tomoyo waking up Tomoya (like she’s been doing since episode 17 if I’m not mistaken). Since ...

Since Tomoya is suspended from school, he really didn’t want to wake up but he did anyway. Why was Tomoya suspended? For fighting at school and saying that he started it to get Tomoyo out of trouble because he wants her to become the student consul president.

Anyway, Tomoya and Tomoyo was sitting around the table eating breakfast and talking when Tomoya’s fathers come in and Tomoyo invited him to site down and have breakfast. At that time, Tomoya gets up and leaves because he doesn’t like his father. We still don’t know why he doesn’t like him but, eh, time will tell us sooner or later.

Instead, that way he woke Youhei up is by taking a pink boxers with hearts on it and puts it on top of Youhei’s head and telling him there’s a girl who wants to confess to him. Of course this wakes him up while running out and getting a nice beating.

Youhei asked Tomoya if he thinks this kind of prank is funny and of course he says that it is (hell, I’ve been laughing my ass off too =) ).

As the day past, and Tomoya thinks about Nagisa, the Fujibayashi twins shows up and had Tomoya escort them. They went to the game center where they got there horoscopes taken to see if they’re lovers, friends, whatever. Of course Kyou is trying to get Ryou and Tomoya hooked up together in any way possible, so she forced them to put there hands together to get the reading. Of course the horoscope said that they were just friends which pissed off Kyou thinking that Tomoya did something wrong.

After words, they were walking down the street talking about horoscopes when Kyou decides to run off so Ryou and Tomoya could be alone. And if you haven’t notice, Kyou has been really pushing Ryou and Tomoya together (I wonder why she just doesn’t go for him herself because you can really tell that she likes him). All alone, now, Tomoya asked Ryou if she’s really into those horoscope stuff which she replies that all girls are into it at a genetic level (sure….). Anyway, they talked for a bit and they left.

This, of course, was the edge needed for Tomoyo as now girls are looking up to her as a hero. After the baseball match and a few other different matches, Tomoya and Tomoyo are walking to and Tomoyo told Tomoya about her past (which you’ll have to watch for yourself) and why she wants to become the student consul president.

Welcome to episode 4 of H2O where Takuma is surrounded around by 4 (at least I thought it was 4 until the end) beautiful girls at the beach. What was interesting, though, was that Hamaji is actually a guy @_@ (yep, that’s right, we actually have a male character that looks and acts like a female. What series reminds you of that?).

Moving on, in episode 3 you see Hinata forces a kiss on Takuma at the end, which is then continued in episode 4 where Hinata sees Hayami at the end of the bridge and to spite her some more, Kagura then hugs Takuma passionately. Of course Takuma is all confused about his feelings even more because of the events (plus he never even realized that Hayami was standing at the other end of the bridge because his back was facing her).

After the opening theme, it starts with with a girl name Yuki (who is Ma-chan’s sister) getting off a bus and noticed Ma-chan hanging around Takuma (along with the other girls…) and, of course, she starts getting pissed off thinking that Takuma is flirting with Ma-chan (can someone say, a misunderstanding?)

Yuki then joins the gang is tried to get ride of Takuma anyway possible. She then noticed how Hinata is always around Takuma and decided to use that for her advantage. Yuki told Takuma that Hinata wanted to speak to him privately and told him where to meet her, but, of course, she won’t show up because it was all just a lie anyways.

After awhile since he’s been gone, the girls started looking for him. Hinata remembered seeing Yuki talking to Takuma before he disappeared and started asking her question, which she refused to answered then ran away.

Back to where Takuma is located, he’s been pretty much laying on a rock waiting for Hinata (who won’t show up) but now that rock is being flooded by water due to the tide that’s coming in and he doesn’t even know how to swim.

You then see Yuki swimming in the ocean thinking about Ma-chan when her leg cramped up and started to drown. Takuma sees her and hesitated for a bit but then jumped in to save her, dispirit the fact that he doesn’t know how to swim. Of course, Takuma was in worst shape then Yuki when they were pulled out of the water and thanks to Ma-chan’s CPR, Takuma was able to survive.

Coming down to the end, you see Hayami swimming in the ocean. Takuma noticed her and calls out to her, but she stops him and ask about his feelings. At the same time, Hinata showed up and is now a three way… Who will Takuma choose? We’ll find out in episode 5.

In this episode we’ve learned 2 things.
First we learn that Hayami Kohinata lives in a run down train cart (at least it looks like it anyways) across a suspension bridge where everyone says a monster lives.
The second thing we’ve learned is that Hayami Kohinata and Hinata Kagura were friends at one point before a fire that happen.
But now it raises more questions. What was the fire all about? And is that the reason why everyone doesn’t like her?
I also can’t believe the teacher would just let them go ...

I must say that I enjoyed watching this series until I saw the end. The ending is bitter sweet (meaning that they ended it in a way that gives you a feeling that it’s completed but you just know that they could of gone on with it). Anyways, if don’t mind spoilers, read on.
First, a discription, since I suck at them, I’ll just quote what ANN has:

“16-year old Sakurano Tazusa is a Japanese figure ice-skater who considers herself to be worth $10 billion in beauty. While executing her moves in the Women’s Figure Skating Grand Prix, she stumbled and landed badly, hence resulting in her loss in the competition. At the same time, in the same city, a Canadian youth by the name of Pete Pumps was performing an air stunt when his plane crashes and he dies. Tazusa starts to hear a strange voices and realises that the Canadian ghost now resides in her body. After futile attempts to get rid of Pete, Tazusa decides to get accustomed to his presence and in the meantime, improve on her techniques in order to get selected for the Olympics.”
~ANN

Now, onto what I really want to say.

This series is 12 eps long, so it’s pretty short, how they fit it all in is pretty suppressing but they did it pretty good. But the ending was just really bitter sweet. I mean, they just have him “poof” disappeared. At least show us that Peet went into heaven and is now watching over Tazusa as her garndering angel, or, better yet (which is pretty much any anime, actually) have him come back into human form and actually start dating her. Either that or make the series longer because it’s just too short. But, huh, can’t win everybody it seems… Anyways, I’m more likely try to find the manga and read it and see if it’s any better.

I hoped you enjoyed today’s review.

Anyways, it’s about this guy name Matsumaru Fumihiko and Onda Aka that started living in the same room. Matsumaru Fumihiko is just your average guy that it seems like bad stuff tends to happen to him. Onda Aka is a girl who dreams of becoming a voice actress

The anime starts off with Matsumaru Fumihiko waiting outside the movie theater for a girl he supposedly asked out on a date but got stood up. While he was about to throw away the tickets a girl name Onda Aka stopped him saying that he’s wasting the tickets so Matsumaru handed the tickets to her and she pulled him in.

It continues with Matsumaru and Onda in the theater with Onda reading the subtitles out loud. After the movie was over they walked out and Matsumaru saw the woman that he asked out, thinking that she didn’t forget he was about to run out when another guy shows up to meet her instead, heart broken Onda took Matsumaru out somewhere to get drinks.

After they departed ways, during the night, Matsumaru woke up to car crashing, worried he runs out and finds Onda. Onda’s building burned down and so Matsumaru let her stay in his apartment.

Where is this going from here? Why don’t you watch and find out for yourself :)
