We start this rant with the artist Justin Timberlake. Just for starters, I absolutely HATE him but there’s only one song I like from him and that’s What Goes Around Comes Around. I like that song because it actually has meaning to it and I understand that meaning too. Also, since I like this song a lot I went to YouTube to see if there was a music video for it, to my surprised, there was, but then I grew disappointed when I watched the music video. For one thing, Justin Timbercake (hey, Timbercake… I like that, I’m going to use that from now on in this rant) decided to make the music video more like a movie by adding scripting before the actual music video, cutting the music off and adding more scripting in portions of the video, and just having him beating up a girl, chasing her, etc. Honestly, what the FUCK was he thinking when he decided to make this video. Actually, more like, what the FUCK was he on when he decided to make this video. Honestly, I think Timbercake should be shot for taking a perfectly good, great meaningful song and making a crappy ass music video for it.

Do you feel like I’m picking on poor Timbercake? He deserves no praises from me, even more so for trying to help that crazy ass Britney Spikes (err… Spears) (and more likely trying to get into that loon ball’s pants)

Anyways, lets move on to our final victim for the night, and his band goes by the name of Gym Class Heroes (more like Gym Class Losers, but eh, whatever). The song I’m picking on is none other then Cupid’s Chokehold. Once again, it’s another one of those songs that I like and understand the meaning of it but god damn, the video doesn’t really make sense for this song (then again, it made a lot more sense then that crappy ass, fruit cake Timbercake’s What Goes Around Comes Around). I mean, song is about a guy who is in love with a girl and the girl is actually in love with him (and not after him because he’s famous) but here’s the video showing him going out with different girls (all of which gets fide up with him because he’s always away or trying to be the live of the party like any star would) and those girls leaves him or cheated on them. Another thing that bust my bubbles is they stop the music to do scripting (god damn those scripting!!!).

Point of the matter is, some scripting is ok as long as they don’t over do it and if they only do it before and/or after the music video (not during! >.<). Anyways, going to bed now, have work in the morning, stay tune for part 2.

For starters, I’ve did a career change. What kind of career change? you might ask, well… let’s just say that I’m no longer being paid junk change for doing tones of work in a mortgage company.

OK, so your not working in mortgage, what are you doing then?
Very good question, I now work in a call center doing tech support on the 2Wire HomePortal DSL modem. Don’t know what I’m talking about? Go to 2wire.com and take a look around.

And how this is different from working in mortgage is the fact that I’m actually having fun 80% of the time (compare to the 10% of the time when I was working in mortgage). Plus got to love those ER (Early Release) when you get approved =)

Another thing about this new job is that you are pretty much required to have a Yahoo ID and Trillian installed so you could chat with your team members and what not. Which is pretty cool because you can also chat with whoever you want to chat with while working (just as long as it doesn’t distract you from doing your job).

Other reasons for not updating my journal includes just started playing Xenosaga again (this time I will beat the game so I can start playing Xenosaga ep II then ep III soon after that!). Anime watching plays in part of that fraction as well as being pulled around all over the place with my dad >_>

So what else is new?
1) Formated my 2 XP drives (one of which was set as a System drive which required me to jump through some hoops. One of which required me to unplug those drive and boot to my vista dvd, and hope that auto repair would do it’s thing (which it didn’t). Since it didn’t, I then had to do a fixboot (to fix the boot sector), fixmbr (to fix the Master Boot Record (MBR)), and a rebuild of the BCD (all I know it has something to do with the boot menu or something for Vista) before I was able to boot back to my vista drive and got my other 2 drives free from it’s grips so I could format it).
2) Helped (well… more like “did”) my sister’s boyfriend’s sister in her assignment for one of her classes (which required Visual Basic .NET).
3) New mouse (wireless mouse, laser)
4) An early birthday cake with Garfield clinging to the monitor of a computer
5) Printer drivers for my printer finally came out (I’m so happy =) )
6) Got a 4GB SD Card for my cell phone
7) Getting physic for FAnime 2007!

And I think that’s about it…. anyways… I’m off now, lates.

I have to say that I’m surprised that the installation didn’t crashed on me because when I tried to install Beta 2 and RC1 they just crashed (one of which made me format a perfectly good hard drive with XP installed on it). Then again, I think it also helped that I disconnected all the USB devices and plugged my keyboard and mouse in the standard PS/2 ports.

You remember when installing XP it asks you to set up your keyboard, your languages, network settings, etc.? Will… installing Vista is just a click of a few buttons. Read the license agreement, put in the CD key code, chose the drive you want to install vista on, and sit back and watch (or take your shower like I did). Once Vista is installed, it will then ask you to set up a user profile and setting up the timezone.

Luckily for me, Vista had no problems finding generic drivers to use for most of my devices. I still went online and got the drivers for my keyboard and mouse, web cam, and even though Vista comes with a pretty good driver for my video card, I still downloaded and install the video card drivers for my card. Only a few items that I had problem with. Vista didn’t knew about my sound card until I installed it after downloading the driver from the manufacture site (big surprise there) and that the manufacture of my printer didn’t released drivers for Vista for my parture model (although they do have plans of releasing a driver for it, I just don’t know when). For the mean time, I get to see Vista opening up that add hardware thingy and be like, “yes, you have a printer epson r220, what would you like to do?” That’s another thing that kinda drive me crazy is that Vista knows what kind of printer my printer is, but it doesn’t have driver support?

I’ll give you a more in depth details about Vista once I’ve explored some more ^^;;

First of all, the lady who started the thread posting a few images that she drew, the images that she drew show suggestive content. Now, mind you that she posted this thread in the creative forum (where you post your drawings, poems, etc.) so your creative side could be showen to the world.

Anyways, I was giving the admin an hard time a little and then he more likely took it personal. Now that he took it personally, I have in my rights to take this personal too. Sure, it’s his forums he could move it to a locked up section if he wants but I think he’s, sorry to say, STUPID! for moving a thread of just a few of these pictures showing suggestive content.

Here’s what he said after my post:

“In regards to why I moved it, it’s simply that these images, while not necessarily provocative or overtly graphic, are each suggestive in their own right, and not 100% suitable for the public forums. It is, in the end, my decision.”

I went back to re-review the images and I say that the content is, at most, PG-13 related, and he’s keeping the site at a PG-13 related site, so I see no reason why this one thread had to be moved to a locked section.

My responds:

“Dude, …, I know 10 years old who look at these kinds of drawings, in fact, I know some who even draws this kinds of drawings.

Sure, the images of suggestive but not to the point of having to being moved to a forum that’s locked up tight.

Besides, looking through the member list and the youngest member I’ve found is 12 years old and she (or he) hasn’t been back since that 2 posts that was made.

Plus, if you ask me, there won’t be too many young ones being on ANY forums to begin with (with many reasons too, one of which is because the parents are more strict in terms of what sites their children is limited to (namely: nickelodeon, Disney, and those kinds of sites)) so I would say that it’s safe to say that these images could safely be display in an open forum.

Do I have to remind you that in some art galleries that the family goes to have pictures up of naked people on the wall or status that shows breast or penis?

Point being, as long as the art is in ‘good taste’ (as of these) I say I see no reason why it should be in these section.

Then again, your the ‘big brother’ here so do what you wish.

Edit: I’ve re-review the drawings and I would say that they’re, at the very most, PG-13 related, which is your aim to keep this forums at. Which leads me back to one question: Do you even know what ART is? (and yes, I am being sarcastic in that question :p )”

Interesting enough, the original thread starter never jumped in, I would guess it’s because she hasn’t been online yet or something. I’ll keep you updated.

I mean, come on, it’s not hard to wash your hands. It’s really disturbs me to see someone go to the urinal, take a piss, then just walk right out of the restroom without even looking at the sink. What’s worth is those who takes a shit and doesn’t wash their hands afterwords. YOU KNOW YOU GUYS ARE SPEADING DISEASES WHEN YOU DON’T WASH YOUR HANDS!!!

Yep, small rant today, just to let you all know I’m still alive ^^;

First and foremost, it seems like Apple released a 64-bit system (finally) but the starting price is still too much, even after lowering everything to no monitor, the lowest processor, 1 hard drive (the lowest storage space to boot), 1 gig of ram, no wireless, 1 CD-ROM drive, standard keyboard and mouse, no service plan, etc, would still cost you over 2.1K, and this is the Mac Pro I’m talking about. For the iMacs, starting is 1.2K, or you could go with a POS Mac Mini for 599. iMacs and Mac Mini means there’s no way of upgrading them, what you get is what you get, the only time you could upgrade would to be first time customization, anytime after that you either buy a new one or you send it in to get it fixed. the Mac Pro allows you to upgrade it but your limited to what you could upgrade (until they started using Intel processors, they your not that limited but still limited because of the OS). Now, you could pretty much get a lot better system if you went with a PC for less then what apple is asking for there Macs.

Another thing I find funny, bootcamp. Although still in beta stage, it’s still pretty damn stupid. Why you ask? Because you will still need to go out and get a license copy of either XP Home ($200 dollars) or XP Pro ($300) (prices shows for new installation, for upgrades, subtract $100 but you are required to have the the new install version as bootcamp doesn’t support upgrade). So after paying close to 15k of the top of the line specs for a Mac Pro, you will still need to spend another 2-300 bucks for XP which also makes Bill Gates richer. It would be SO much cheaper just to go out and get a PC with XP already installed and download a Linux flavor and install it onto another partition of the drive and duel boot that way (reason: no need to pay extra for the OS as the OS is included and Linux is free anyways so why even bother paying for another OS?). LILO is a great boot menu for Linux too.

Honestly, I think the item that’s making Steve Jobs rich is the iPod. In the show of hands (ok, posts), how many of you have an Apple iPod? I would think a good handful of you does, either that or have a friend or relatives that does. I went to LA many times in the past few months (up until me and my ex broke up, we’re still good friends though… hmm…. maybe we could be friends with benefits, I wonder… I should bring this up with her) and you could see billboards and flayers up everywhere advertising the iPod. I would say this, the original (first gen) iPods were cool but they just became crap as the generations moved forward. I did thought about getting one 3 years back but decided not to after I got my sister a pink mini-iPod. It was crap. I’m perfectly find with my iRiver Clix, thank you very much. How much is apple investing in advertising the iPod? A whole lot more then there Macs, that’s for sure.

Also, what’s with those commercials that they’re showing now with that one kid from Dodgeball: True Underdog Story and, oh, what’s that movie called, eh, oh wells, anyways, that kid and some guy with glasses with the kid saying shit and making the guy with glasses say stupid things like, “oh, my other parts is over in another box,” and the kid’s like, “well, I’m already to go right out of the box.” First and foremost, with latest technology making PCs smaller, so does allowing you to ship a computer WITH the monitor and keyboard and mouse all in one box (along with a 2 speaker set if added). This is because PCs are becoming lighter by not adding too much extra heavy parts and because most people would get the standard 15″ flat screen monitor. Anything extra then they well normally ship the monitor separately but still ship the PC, keyboard, and mouse together. With the iMac and Mac Mini, well.. the iMac is a computer in it’s own screen (thus the reason why it’s hard to upgrade the graphic card on this guy) and the mac mini is, will… small. The Mac Pro, on the other, might do what PCs manufactures does, ship with everything in one box or separate depending on if they could fit it all in in one box, so technically speaking, they could also ship separately as well.

Looking for a mini computer? Don’t even bother with the Mac Mini as it’s not upgradeable, instead, go to Fry’s Electric or whoever you have that’s a top PC hardware store or just buy online. You could get Mini PCs motherboard and cases, building it is really cheap to since all you really need is the case, motherboard, processor, ram, and hard drive (can’t forgot an OS).

Anyways.. it’s midnight now, and I should really be in bed (I’m driving this week and all).
