There are a number of plugins that support OID and Facebook, etc look in the plugin repository on http://www.wordpress.org, in fact if you’re current on your updates do it from your CP.

That is true, but it does work perfectly fine with just the OpenID when using MyOpenID.com in my testing. If there’s another plugin that you know of that I can use for only auto approving comments when someone uses an OpenID that supports everything, please let me know and I’ll switch over to that instantly.

The idea is not to have to enter anything else, but your OpenID. Mine, for example, provides all SREG (Simple Registration) fields (including DOB, gender, zip code, etc). For some reason, WP-OpenID will not use those. I have queried the developers, getting a mute answer.

It does take full names but it all depends on how the full/nick name comes through (tested with MyOpenID.com, just typed in my OpenID URL and it filled everything else in for me). Which is why I would probably type in a name in the Name field anyways just to be sure, it’ll automatically get overridden anyways if it does pass the name through.
